If you’ve been chomping at the bit for a new desktop PC and Windows Vista and a bargain, you’re in luck!  NewEgg.com has a the Acer ASL100-UA350B, preloaded with Windows Vista Home Basic for just $529.99.   When you consider that the software alone would set you back $200 if you bought it separately, you’ll realize what a great deal you’re getting.

The Acer AXL100 has a fast Athlon 64 3500+ processor, running at 2.2GHz.  512MB of RAM is installed, but you should seriously consider upgrading to at least 1GB for maximum Vista performance.  Graphics are supported by the NVIDIA GeForce 6150 card, and audio is integrated.  The hard drive is a large 160GB.  This inexpensive PC has a DVD±RW drive as well, so you’ve got lots of storage options.
