You won’t believe what $234.50 will buy at Geeks.com: a refurbished Compaq Evo D51S desktop PC, with the classic “wide profile”, and Pentium 4, 2.53GHz CPU.   It gets even better, because the PC comes with 512MB of RAM and a large 80GB hard drive.   The preinstalled operating system is Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (with COA). 

A DVD-ROM player is installed, and you’ll also get a 1.44 MB floppy drive.  Audio and video are integrated, as is ethernet LAN, and there’s also a 56K modem.  There are four USB ports, as well as the common parallel, serial, and VGA ports.

Because this inexpensive desktop PC is refurbished, it does not ship with a Windows software CD, or driver CDs.  You will have to locate and download drivers to use the DVD player, and you’ll need to keep proper backups so you can reinstall Windows in the event you need to do so.  This PC does includes a keyboard, a mouse, and a full 90 day warranty.
