If you’re willing to deal with the minor inconvenience of sending for a rebate, you can purchase a Lenovo 3000 C Series notebook PC, brand new, for just $574.99 from NewEgg.com.  The actual purchase price you’ll pay is $624.99 (lower than the manufacturer’s suggested list price), and then you can apply for a $50 rebate from the manufacturer.   This is a Windows Vista Capable laptop PC, and it comes with a number of excellent features.

This inexpensive notebook computer, model C200(89222FU), has an Intel Celeron M 420, which is 1.6GHz.  512MB of RAM and a 40GB hard drive mean it can easily handle the computing tasks demanded by students, commuting workers, and home users.   The Lenovo C200 has a versatile DVD/CD-RW combo drive,  as well as modem, LAN, and wireless LAN.  One other handy feature is the built-in 5-in-1 multi-card reader.

The monitor is a large 15″ XGA, with support of up to 1024 X 768.  The integrated graphics card is an Intel GMA950, ensuring a clear and crisp picture.
